T2202s are tuition tax receipts issued to students who paid tuition for post secondary level credit courses in the previous calendar year. The T2202 shows the amount of tuition that can be deducted for income tax purposes as well as the number of months eligible for education deduction. To receive the T2202, students must be enrolled in the University Transfer/Associate of Arts Degree Program.
Yes. For T2202’s issued after year 2019 calendar year, Coquitlam College is required to submit a Social Insurance Number (SIN) for all students who receive a T2202. Please go to the Student Portal to update your SIN number as soon as possible.

No. Deposits are not eligible expenses for T2202 purposes. Once your courses have started and you are attending classes, you will be eligible for a T2202 in that calendar year.
