For the University Transfer and Associate of Arts program, students are eligible to transfer university courses towards their degree. Courses taken within British Columbia (BC) and are on the BC Transfer Guide may be used to transfer. Coquitlam College will not transfer credits for courses taken outside of the BC Transfer System unless one of the four research universities (SFU, UBC, UVIC or UNBC) previously granted the transfer.
Only courses that apply to the degree, diploma or certificate will be transferred and determined by Coquitlam College. Each course can only be counted once toward the completion of the program. The minimum grade to receive transfer credit is C-. Failing grades will not receive transfer credit. Credit is normally given for courses completed within 7 years unless approved by the College.
Transfer credits will appear on the Coquitlam College transcript but are not used in the calculation for grade point average.
Associate of Arts Degree: Eligible to transfer up to 10 courses (30 credits)
Please Note: The last 3 courses must be taken at Coquitlam College.
