Transfer is when one post-secondary institution recognizes and gives full credit for courses taken at another institution. The University Transfer Program at Coquitlam College offers fully transferable courses which allow students to complete up to 60 transferable credits (20 courses), or up to half of the total of their University undergraduate coursework, before applying to complete the remaining 60 credits of an Undergraduate Degree at a university.
The BC Transfer Guide allows students to view the equivalencies of their coursework completed at Coquitlam College compared with other post-secondary institutions, both colleges and universities, throughout British Columbia.
This means if students do not meet the admission requirements for entering a BC university directly from high school, they may be eligible to apply for admission later as a transfer student. Students can complete up to two years credit (and sometimes more!) and transfer to a university to finish their degree.
