The Associate of Arts Degree is a two-year undergraduate program approved by the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills and recognized by the British Columbia Council on Admissions and Transfer (BCCAT). The program offers students the opportunity to explore their interests through a broad range of courses in the Liberal Arts. With up to 60 credits fully transferable to universities across Canada, the AA degree provides a strong foundation for further undergraduate studies.
Students can use this degree to pursue a variety of pathways, including continuing their education in Bachelor’s degree programs in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Business, or enter diverse professional fields that require strong critical thinking and communication skills.

The following courses are available to students while they complete their conditional English course: ACCT 101, 102, BIOL 101, 104, CHEM 100, 101, 110, CHIN 100, 101, CSCI 100, 130, FREN 101, 102, JAPA 100, 101, MACM 101, MATH 100, 101, 111, 120, 190, 197, PHYS 101, SPAN 101, STAT 101, 290, and 291.
Students will not be able to enter regular studies until they have passed ENGL 099.

This program is offered under the written consent of the Minister of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills effective August 7, 2013 having undergone a quality assessment process and been found to meet the criteria established by the minister. Nevertheless, prospective students are responsible for satisfying themselves that the program and the degree will be appropriate to their needs (for example, acceptable to potential employers, professional licensing bodies, or other educational institutions).
