At Coquitlam College, we recently celebrated Diwali, the Festival of Lights, across both our Vancouver and Surrey campuses. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to take a break from their studies, gather with friends, and experience the joy, warmth, and vibrant spirit of Diwali.

Vancouver Campus: Cozy Diwali in the Coloring Lounge

In Vancouver, students enjoyed a cozy and colorful Diwali celebration in our specially set-up Coloring Lounge. The space was filled with vibrant coloring pages and festive decorations, creating a relaxing and welcoming environment. Students could grab snacks and treats while they colored, bringing a touch of creative expression to the festival. It was a perfect way for everyone to unwind, reconnect with friends, and enjoy the cheerful spirit of Diwali.

Surrey Campus: A Taste of Tradition

Meanwhile, at our Surrey campus, we embraced the festive spirit with a delicious spread of traditional snacks. Students gathered to enjoy warm samosas and a variety of sweets, bringing the flavors of Diwali to life. It was a joyful event where students experienced the essence of Diwali with laughter, good food, and a sense of community.

This year’s Diwali events highlighted the diverse ways to celebrate, with both campuses offering unique experiences that made this holiday special. Whether through art and relaxation or traditional treats and conversation, our Diwali celebrations helped students take a moment to appreciate togetherness and the light that Diwali brings to our lives.
