Percentage (%) of Out-of-Country Studies Allowed for PGWP
As of Fall 2021, eligibility for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) is explained on IRCC’s COVID-19 page for International Students.
If you are inside Canada and your classes were moved online due to COVID-19, until Dec 31, 2021 you are still eligible for a PGWP even if you complete more than 50% of your program online. You must make sure your study permit is always valid.
If you are outside of Canada, online courses completed outside of Canada until December 31, 2021 will count towards your PGWP. If you complete your program by December 31, 2021, you are not required to complete at least 50% of your program in Canada. If you are in a program which will end before December 31, 2021, you can now complete 100% of your program online outside of Canada and be eligible for the PGWP. In order to apply for a PGWP you must have a valid study permit.
Coquitlam College courses to be used towards completion of our Associate of Arts Degree will be primarily offered with in-person instruction during the Fall 2021 semester.
