Bare Life
Do you sometimes wish you knew more about your instructors? We know one of whom certainly has an interesting life outside of the classroom: Lorenzo Tomescu has laid bare his interests in an online publication. Let’s bear witness to his talent!
Lorenzo Tomescu is an instructor in the English department at Coquitlam College, but is also currently an SFU graduate student. Recently, he has written an essay concerning some of his interests and featuring some of his own artwork. His publication is included in the current online issue of SFU’s Journal of Comparative Media Arts, an open-access, peer-reviewed graduate journal of works pertaining to visual culture, cinema studies, performance studies, and new media arts. Each issue is focused by an aesthetic theme; in the current journal, entitled “Bare Life”, Lorenzo theorizes on the relationship between artistic representation and human psychology.
